12/13/2011 - Meeting Highlights


December Minutes

E-Z Riders met at New London American Legion on Dec. 13, 2011, 31 attending.  New members Jerry and Connie R and Mike P were introduced anmd welcomed.
Guest speaker was avid snowmobiler, Nick Keller, who organized KFCF for cancer victims and their families.

Nick rode 22, 156 miles in 60 days in 2011 to raise money for cancer.
Club will donate $100.00 to KFCF.
Secretary and treasurers' reports read and approved.

OLD BUSINESS
1. Youth snowmobile training classes have been completed.  Thank you to Motor Sports for their
assistance.
2. Club received thank you from Motor Sports for assisting with open house.
3. New trail along Hwy 40 west connecting our trails to Benson area has been signed.  New trail east from Harry's Corner(S 71) to Lake Lillian has been signed.
4. Thanks to Ken, Mark and Paul for trail cleanup work in Prairie Woods area.
5. Discussed insurance issue for the E-Z Stop.  Building will remain locked until issue decided and floor in place.
6. Motion approved to imprint and place 15 new trail signs indicating directions to next towns.
7. Thursday night rides will likely continue, once snow conditions are favorable to riding.
8. State of MN prohibits advertising of business names on trails on state property including road right-of-way on state highways.

NEW BUSINESS
1. Steve will plan ride to Park Rapids area.
2. 4-day trip planned to Bayfield, WI weekend of Jan. 14, 2012.  Contact John or Julie.
3. Motion approved to donate $100.00 to Veterans Ride Jan. 7, 2012.
4. Registration forms handed out for Rendezvous in Fairmont Feb. 9-12th.
5. Sno-Skippers radar runs and vintage drag will be in Feb. 2012.
6. Club did not approve selling calendars or sponsoring an avalanche class.
7. No decision made about club holding a Valentine Cancer Center Run.
8. Several members asked for curent list of members.
9. Motion approved to donate $100.00 to landowner banquet drawings, also to pursue 75 additional gifts.
10. Joe, Sandy, Pam, Jerry and Mike won the door prizes.
11. Mary won the regular drawing.
12. Next meeting Jan. 10, location to be determined.
